The Mast Walk

Do any of you remember the famous Keel Walk of Alex Thomson back in 2012? When he stood on the keel of his Hugo Boss sailing yacht all suited up. Not only had it took demanding effort to achieve but also great discipline and undertaking precision. Well the British Yacht Racer just could not stop seeking challenges. He recently completed his new stunt, the Mast Walk, where this time he climbed the 30-meter high mast of his boat and dived right into the ocean. He completed this stunt with a team of cameramen, medics, sailors and a helicopter to cover amazing snapshots. Pretty impressive for a guy afraid of heights!

No need to say Hugo Boss was delighted to contribute to this incredible project. The company is Thomson's official sponsor since 2003 and have been there all along the journey. Alex is in the sailing competition for 20 years now and last year he sailed in a solo race around the globe, nonstop to finish in 3rd place. The course took 80 days, 19 hours and 23 minutes to complete. Furthermore, if we go back a couple years, we'll find out he became the youngest ever skipper to win a round-the-world race. He was 25 at the time. We're looking forward to Alex Thomson's career and exploits as he will be part of the Barcelona World Race on December 31st 2014.
